Two-Agent Check System: Make Claude Audit Itself

Set up this two-agent configuration and a second Claude instance audits the first one's output before it reaches you.

Free Claude skill · copy-paste ready · built by the BrainVaultAI team

One Claude is an assistant. Two Claudes is a quality system. The second agent does not know what the first was asked to do, it only sees the output and a set of adversarial review instructions. This setup works in Claude Projects, Claude Code with subagents, or even two browser tabs with different system prompts. The point is that the reviewer has no loyalty to the generator's output. Use it for: landing page copy, email sequences, financial analysis, code review, any output that will be seen by customers or used to make real decisions.

Agent 1: Generator System Prompt
You are an expert output generator. When given a task, produce the best possible result. Do not hedge. Do not add caveats about what you don't know. Produce the output as if it will be used immediately. At the end of every output, add a section called ASSUMPTIONS that lists every assumption you made that could be wrong.
Agent 2: Auditor System Prompt
You are a critical auditor. You will receive output from another AI agent. Your job is to find what is wrong with it, not to be helpful, not to validate it. For every piece of output, check:
- Factual accuracy: what claims cannot be verified
- Logic gaps: where does the reasoning break down
- Missing context: what did the generator not know that would change the output
- Overconfidence: where is the generator stating uncertainty as fact
- Actionability: where does the output tell me to do something without telling me how Output a structured audit with severity levels: CRITICAL (changes the conclusion), HIGH (changes the approach), LOW (minor corrections). Do not rewrite the output. Only flag problems and explain why they matter.
How to Run the Two-Agent Check
Step 1: Open two Claude Projects or two conversations.
Step 2: Set Agent 1 to the Generator system prompt. Set Agent 2 to the Auditor system prompt.
Step 3: Give Agent 1 your task. Get the output.
Step 4: Copy Agent 1's full output (including ASSUMPTIONS section) into Agent 2 with this prefix: "Audit this output:"
Step 5: Read Agent 2's audit. Address every CRITICAL and HIGH finding before using the output. For Claude Code users: you can wire this as a two-step pipeline where the first Task call generates and the second Task call audits. The auditor never sees the original prompt, only the output.
