Pricing Model Builder: Claude Prompt Template

Build a defensible pricing model with tiers, anchors, and value metrics baked in, using this single Claude prompt template.

Free template · copy-paste ready · built by the BrainVaultAI team

Founders underprice because they cost-build instead of value-build. This prompt forces Claude to think through pricing the right way: value metric first, then tiers, then anchors, then the psychological layer. Use it when launching a new offer, repositioning an existing one, or when you've been told 'that's too expensive' more than twice in a row. The output is a working pricing model, not final, but structured enough to test. You get tier logic, price points with rationale, the anchor play, and the most common objection at each price point so you can address them before the sales call.

Pricing Model Builder Prompt
Help me build a pricing model for my offer. Offer: [what you sell]
ICP: [who buys it, their role, company size]
Outcome delivered: [the specific result the customer gets]
Alternatives: [what they'd do or buy instead if not this]
Current price (if any): [or 'none yet']
Delivery model: [one-time / subscription / usage / retainer] Build: 1. Value metric, what unit of value should pricing scale on? (per seat, per outcome, per volume) Give me 3 options ranked by alignment with customer value. 2. Tier structure, 3 tiers with: - Tier name and target buyer within my ICP - What's included - Recommended price with rationale - Psychological role (anchor / primary / entry) 3. Anchor play, how to frame the highest tier so the middle tier feels like a deal 4. Price objections, the most common objection at each tier and a one-sentence reframe for each 5. What to test first, which tier and price point to lead with in the next 10 sales conversations and what to watch for
Pricing Page Copy Prompt (follow-up)
Based on the pricing model above, write copy for a pricing page. For each tier write:
- Tier name (evocative, not generic like 'Basic / Pro / Enterprise')
- One-sentence value statement (outcome, not features)
- 5 bullet point inclusions (lead with the most valuable)
- 'Best for' line (one sentence on who this is for)
- Price display recommendation (monthly vs annual, with or without toggle) Also write:
- A 2-sentence intro above the tiers (what you get, why it's worth it)
- An FAQ section with the 4 most common pricing questions and direct answers Tone: confident, direct, no hedge language, no 'everything you need' or 'powerful' or 'robust'.
