Run this prompt on any competitor and get their positioning, gaps, weaknesses, and your specific win angles in one structured output.

Free prompt pack · copy-paste ready · built by the BrainVaultAI team

Most competitive analysis is either too shallow (a features table) or too slow (a week-long research project). This prompt does a real teardown in 10 minutes using Claude plus whatever public information you can paste in. Use it when a competitor launches something new, when you're preparing a sales deck, or when you're trying to sharpen your positioning against a specific alternative. The output isn't a features comparison. It's a strategic read: where they're vulnerable, what their customers complain about, and how to position yourself as the obvious choice for your ICP.

Competitor Teardown Prompt
Do a strategic teardown of this competitor: Competitor: [Name + URL]
My company: [Name + what you do + who you serve]
Context I have (paste any): [copy their homepage, pricing page, G2/Trustpilot reviews, recent social posts, job listings] Analyze: 1. Positioning, how they describe themselves, who they think their customer is, what they lead with
2. Pricing model, structure, anchors, what's hidden
3. Strengths, what they genuinely do well based on evidence
4. Weaknesses, what customers actually complain about (pull from reviews if provided)
5. Gaps, what they don't serve, don't do, or do poorly that my ICP cares about
6. Their growth signal, are they hiring, expanding, contracting? What does their job board or recent moves signal?
7. Where I win, 3 specific situations where a buyer would choose me over them and why
8. What I should steal, 1-2 things they do well that I should adopt or improve on Be specific. No generic strategic-consulting language. Tell me what to actually do with this.
